Base44 site migration

Base44 got your site built. Redline gets it found.

Base44 builds a working app from a description, with its own database and logins built in. But your pages are drawn by code in the visitor's browser, so many search engines and AI assistants see an almost empty page, and your site's content lives inside Base44. I rebuild your site on Redline as plain, fast pages that look the same, on a site you own. Enter your address to see what your move would involve.

I look at your public pages and page list, the same way a visitor would. Nothing is saved unless you ask for a quote.

Typical level

Move + some custom work, including sites where people sign in. Big sites are a redesign and move.

Typical price

$2,800–4,000 for most Base44 sites, $4,000–6,000 for big ones. Hosting and care is $150 a month.

Time

Usually 2–3 weeks. Your Base44 site stays live until the new one is ready.

After the move

Edit your pages yourself in a simple editor, no prompts needed, or let me: an hour of edits a month is included.

Why Base44 sites are hard to find

Base44 builds everything as one app: the pages, the database and the logins. The pages are drawn by code after they reach the visitor's browser. People don't notice, but the tools that rank and recommend websites do:

  • AI assistants often see nothing. The tools ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity use to read the web mostly don't run scripts, so a Base44 page can look empty to them. When I built the same site six ways, the React, Vue and Angular versions showed these tools one generic title and none of the content, on every page.
  • Google is slow to see it. Google can run the code, but later and not always, so new pages and changes take longer to show up.
  • Pages look alike to search engines. Unless each page was given its own title and description, they all share one, in search results and in link previews.
  • Your content lives inside the app. Words, images and records sit in Base44's own database, tied to its plans and its way of doing things.

The free check above shows whether your pages are drawn by code. On Redline every page is sent complete, with its own title, description and words, and you get your content as standard files if you ever leave.

What moves over

Comes over

  • Every page, with your words and images.
  • Your design: same layout, colors and fonts, rebuilt as plain pages.
  • Contact and sign-up forms, set up again in Redline.
  • Your domain, and every page address you have now.
  • Logins and free members-only pages: Redline supports sign-in and different access levels.

Needs a closer look

  • Pages behind a login, and who is allowed to see each one.
  • Records kept in Base44's database beyond simple form entries.
  • Dashboards, calculators or other tools people use on the site.
  • Payments, paid memberships and online stores, which aren't covered yet.

I can't see pages behind a login from outside, so for sites with logins I work with whoever built your site to list every one and who can see it. Each is tested before we switch over.

How the move works

  1. Check your siteEnter your address above. You'll see the level, and I'll reply with a fixed price.
  2. I rebuild itI copy your words, images and design into Redline pages from your live site. You don't need to export anything from Base44.
  3. You review itYou see the new site before anything changes, and I test that every old address still works.
  4. We switch overI point your domain at the new site. Your Base44 app stays yours, untouched.

If you ever leave, here's what you take with you

Your website

As standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript files that any web host can run.

Your data

If your site keeps records such as members, bookings or form entries, you get a complete copy in a format other tools can read.

Your code

Anything built just for your business is yours. I don't own it and I won't keep it.

Your domain

It was always yours, and it goes wherever you go.

The Redline engine stays with me. Everything else goes with you. Your files, data and code are always handed over free. If you'd like help setting them up somewhere else, that's billed at my normal rate.

Questions about moving from Base44

Why isn't my Base44 site showing up in Google?

Base44 draws each page with code in the visitor's browser, so the page that search engines first receive is almost empty. Google runs that code late and not always, and pages often share one title and description. Plain pages, each with its own words and search details, fix that.

Can ChatGPT and other AI assistants read my Base44 site?

Often not. The tools AI assistants use to read websites mostly don't run scripts, so a Base44 page can look empty to them. On Redline every page is plain HTML with your words right there, so they can read and recommend it.

What happens to the data in my Base44 app?

Form messages come to your email after the move. Other records, such as bookings, lists or anything people save on the site, need a closer look, and I'll tell you honestly what fits. If the site is mostly a tool people use, it may be better to keep that part on Base44 and move only the public pages.

How much does it cost to move a Base44 site?

Most Base44 sites are $2,800–4,000 and take 2–3 weeks. Big sites, or ones with several tools to rebuild, are $4,000–6,000. Hosting and care is $150 a month, or $1,500 a year, with an hour of edits a month included. The free check on this page shows your site's level.

Can my site keep its logins?

Yes. Redline supports sign-in and different access levels. Because pages behind a login can't be seen from outside, I work with whoever built your site to map every one and who should see it, then test each before we switch over. Paid memberships, where people pay for access, aren't covered yet.

Do I own my site after the move?

Yes. Your words, images and data are yours, and so is any code written for your business. If you ever move on, you get your site as standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript files, a complete copy of your data in a format other tools can read, and all of your own code. Only the Redline engine that runs it stays with me.

Will my domain and links stay the same?

Yes. Your domain stays yours, and every page address you have now keeps working. I test each one before we switch over.

Who's behind this

I'm Brad Simon, and Coder B Dev is my one-person studio. I've been writing software for more than 30 years: enterprise systems, web applications and SaaS platforms, for companies from startups to large enterprises. Redline is the platform I built so small business sites can get that same engineering without the upkeep. I take on a small number of sites at a time, so each one gets my full attention.

I'd rather you stay because you want to. I've seen too many business owners stuck with a platform because leaving meant losing their site. I don't work that way. Your words, images and data are yours, and so is any code written for your business: I don't claim any rights to it. If you ever decide to move on, I'll hand you your site as standard files, a full copy of your data and all of your own code, with no runaround. The only thing I keep is the Redline engine itself.
